45 Family Dinner Ideas When You’re Craving Mexican
These family dinner ideas are the ones the family craves on movie nights or when Mexican flavors hits, which for me usually lands on a loud weeknight when everyone wants something different and I only have one dinner in me. I love the whole scene of it, honestly. A stack of warm tortillas, music on in the kitchen, everyone leaning over the counter arguing about who gets the last quesadilla.
I’m all about the kind of dinner people put together themselves. A big skillet in the middle, a few bowls of toppings around it, and everyone reaching across each other.
Almost all of these family dinner ideas come together in under forty minutes, and the few that don’t are the ones I save for a slow Sunday afternoon.

Tacos are where every one of these dinners started, and they’re still what I make when I want everyone happy with almost no effort.
Delicious Birria Tacos (Quesabirria)
Crispy, cheesy quesabirria with a little bowl of consome for dipping. That part is what everyone fights over. Worth every hour of the simmer.
