3-Easy Steps to Perfectly Cooked Spaghetti Squash

Spaghetti Squash with fresh tomato and basil on baking sheet

Have you ever tried cutting through a pre-cooked spaghetti squash? I love spaghetti squash, but I would always dread prepping it. Unless you have muscles like a bodybuilder or a recently sharpened knife, cutting through squash feels impossible, and it gets me questioning my life decisions. So here are 3-Easy Steps to Perfectly Cooked Spaghetti Squash.

Spaghetti Squash in 3-Easy Steps

Step One

Rinse the spaghetti squash and pat dry. Place the spaghetti squash on a stable cutting board.

Take a pairing knife to cut through spaghetti squash halfway, making a cut about an inch long.

Step Two

Place the spaghetti squash on a baking tray, add a cup of water to the baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes at 320 degrees.

Step Three

Ding! Remove the spaghetti squash – caution it’s hot. Let stand for a few minutes. Then take the spaghetti squash and cut in half. A cooked squash is 100 times easier to cut.

Take a half, and with a fork, remove the seeds. Then take the second half and remove the seeds.

That’s it! Your spaghetti squash is cooked and ready to serve.

Ok, spaghetti squash is cooked, now what?
