Ingredients

For the Sliders
  • 12 slider rolls store-bought, par-baked, or homemade
  • 8 large eggs scrambled
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp butter for cooking eggs
  • 8 slices bacon cooked until crispy
  • 6 slices cheddar or American cheese
For the Topping
  • 4 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tsp dried parsley optional
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds optional

Equipment

  • 1 Large Skillet
  • 2 Baking Sheets
  • 1 Parchment Paper
  • 1 Pastry Brush
  • 1 Knife and Cutting Board
  • 1 Mixing Bowl

Method

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook bacon (oven method): Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lay 8 slices of bacon in a single layer without overlapping. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. Toast the rolls: Slice 12 slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves intact. Brush melted butter on the insides and tops of the rolls. Place the rolls on a baking sheet, cut side up, and toast in the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  4. Cook the eggs: In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tbsp butter. Whisk 8 large eggs with 2 tbsp heavy cream and pour into the skillet. Gently scramble, stirring occasionally, until the eggs are just set. Remove from heat.
  5. Assemble sliders: Spread the scrambled eggs evenly across the bottom half of the toasted rolls. Layer the baked bacon on top of the eggs, followed by 6 slices of cheddar or American cheese.
  6. Final bake: Place the top half of the toasted rolls on the sliders. Return the assembled sliders to the oven for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sliders are warm throughout.
  7. Serve: Slice into individual sliders and serve immediately.

Notes

Top Tips for Perfect Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Sliders

  1. Toast the Rolls First: Brushing butter on the rolls and toasting them ensures crispy edges and prevents sogginess from the eggs and cheese.
  2. Use Cream for Fluffy Eggs: Adding heavy cream to the eggs makes them extra creamy and rich. Stir them gently while cooking to keep them soft and fluffy.
  3. Cook Bacon Until Crispy: Crispy bacon adds the perfect texture contrast. If you prefer less greasy bacon, bake it in the oven on a wire rack for even cooking.
  4. Layer Cheese Carefully: Placing the cheese on top of the bacon ensures it melts evenly and binds the layers together.
  5. Short Bake Time: Keep the final baking short (2-3 minutes) to prevent overcooking the eggs and maintain the sliders’ fresh flavor.
