Prep
- Chop the spring onions, ginger, and turmeric. Combine them with garlic powder or fresh garlic and mash into a soft paste using the back of a spoon or a small mortar or food processor.
Instructions
- Warm a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Let it brown on the bottom before breaking it apart gently with a spoon.
- When the beef is halfway cooked, add the spring onion paste, salt, and a small pinch of white pepper if using. Stir until the paste coats the beef.
- Continue cooking until the beef is fully browned and the paste has blended with the juices in the pan.
- Turn off the heat and add a splash of young coconut water. Stir to combine.
- Serve over warm white rice and top with chopped parsley.
