Ingredients

  • ½ cup Frozen Wild Blueberries
  • 1 tsp Fresh Lemon Juice or juiced 1/4 lemon
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 handful Fresh Mint
  • 1 cup Ice

Equipment

  • 1 Mason Jar - 16oz
  • 1 Cocktail Muddler

Method

  1. Step One
Start by scooping frozen blueberries into a mason jar and thawing them. This shouldn’t take too long. You don’t want them completely thawed but enough to mash them.
  2. Step Two
Carefully and gently mash the blueberries. Then, squeeze fresh lemon juice into the mason jar.
  3. Step Three
Add Ice or go no ice. Then add the water.
Remember to add your favorite sparkling, mineral, or plain water. If you use plain water, use filtered water for the best results.
  4. Step Four
Add a handful of fresh mint leaves. Let it sit in the fridge for a few hours, or enjoy it!
These wild blueberries have such a pop of color, sweetness, and flavor that I found the infused water to taste incredible immediately after making it.

Notes

Notes:

This recipe doesn't require straining, so you will notice small pieces of blueberries in the water. However, if you prefer to remove the blueberry bits, you can strain the mixture using a fine mesh strainer. It's worth noting that by keeping the bits of blueberries in the water, you get the added health benefit of the fiber found in blueberries.
