- Step TwoOnce the oven is preheated, with oven mitts, carefully open the oven door and place the empanadas on the skillet using tongs. Tip: Close the oven door as quickly as possible to prevent heat from escaping the oven.

- Step ThreeFlip them halfway through and continue to bake until crispy and golden brown (roughly 15-20 minutes)Then remove them from the oven, place them on a baking rack, and let them rest for 60 seconds before cutting them in half, if desired.Serve with your favorite empanada dipping sauce, like a spicy empanada sauce, like aji picante.
