Baked blue corn tostadas are made in the oven with tortillas, a little butter or olive oil, and salt. Crunchy, simple, and ready in minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 blue corn tortillas
  • 1 tbsp lightly melted salted butter or olive oil
  • Salt optional

  • 1 Pastry Brush
  • 2 Baking Sheet
  • 1 Small Bowl

Method
 

Prep
  1. Melt the butter or measure the oil.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  3. Line a large baking sheet so tortillas can bake in a single layer without overlapping.
Instructions
  1. Brush both sides of each tortilla with melted butter or olive oil.
  2. Place tortillas on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  3. Sprinkle with salt if using.
  4. Bake for 6 minutes, flip, then bake for another 6 minutes, until crisp.
  5. If using butter, bake about 8 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
  6. Let cool on the pan to finish crisping.
