The hot skillet will crisp the delicate empanadas on both sides.

Make sure the cured cast iron skillet is lightly coated with avocado oil

Tip #2

No cast iron skillet? That's ok, use a baking dish instead. Then line it with parchment paper.

Allow the empanada to cool off on a baking rack before cutting the empanada in half.

Tip #3

Serve them with a spicy sauce like aji picante.
